Will he manage to solve it, or will he fall into the abyss of madness? To complete the game it is necessary to know the meaning of various icons and symbols that appear in this title. We describe them below.
Icons next to evidence
In Sherlock Holmes The Awakened you will find many useful symbols. Especially important are those that sometimes appear next to evidence. If you see any of the following icons, follow this indication. It will disappear when you manage to exhaust all options related to a given clue.
 | Search the location in question. The evidence marked with this symbol requires you to go to a specific location. Often you have to find it yourself (of course, the description of the clue will help you with this). |
 | Ask people in the area. For this type of clue, you have to pin it down and talk to passersby in the location (no one in particular). Sooner or later (though mostly sooner) you will come across a person with the information you need. |
 | Pin this evidence. This type of icon requires you to pin it, as this is the only way you will see new clues. Even if you have searched the area, it is a good idea to check it again after pinning a particular clue. |
 | Talk to a person who is connected to the case. This type of evidence unlocks new conversation options with people related to the investigation. |
 | Use the Concentration mode. Some information can only be obtained by being in concentration mode. This icon will tell you when it is necessary to solve the task. |
 | Search the Archives. Some evidence requires additional research. This can be done from within your Portfolio. Interact with them, and a mini-logic game will appear. Your task in it is to match key search categories based on the description of the clue. |
 | Use in the right way. This icon appears next to important items. These are mostly keys that will open some passage for you. |
 | This sign in the File shows that the evidence has been updated. Many times during the investigation you will get new information about the evidence you already have. This icon will then appear next to them. |

 | This icon indicates interactive elements of a given scene. |
 | This icon appears when a new question is waiting to be answered in the Memorial Palace or when the evidence you have is sufficient to answer another question. |
 | Fast travel: after unlocking the fast travel point, you can move to a particular location in the map menu. |
 | This symbol indicates that it is possible to enter the Imagination mode. You must then use Concentration. |
