Some of you may remember the affair from late 2021, when the owners of Wildcard, a company called Snail Games, accused the team at Angela Game of stealing the source code of ARK: Survival Evolved. As a result Myth of Empires - the game that was allegedly built using it - disappeared from Steam. Now, after nearly two years of a court battle between the two parties, there has finally been a breakthrough.

From a statement released by the companies, we learn that the conflict has been resolved, and Snail Games will assist Angela Game in the distribution of Myth of Empires on PC and other platforms.

"Following nearly two years of litigation, we are pleased to announce this settlement agreement for Snail, Angela, and Studio Wildcard. Angela acknowledges that it caused difficulties for Snail's business. By working together, Angela and Snail will put those difficulties behind them. Angela regrets any difficulties it caused Snail and look forward to moving into this business partnership

At the same time we hope that, with Snail's extensive user resources and excellent platform relationships built on Ark, they can assist us in our future publishing efforts, injecting greater market vitality into Myth of Empires, reads the announcement from Angela Game (via GamesIndustry.biz).

Wildcard co-founder Doug Kennedy also commented on the matter: "We are pleased to announce this settlement agreement and facilitate the re-release of Myth of Empires which benefits both parties and opens up additional revenue streams for us through the partnership with Angela."

As a result of the settlement Myth of Empires is expected to return to Steam in early 2024. Snail Games will also act as publisher for the game's release on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, which is also scheduled for early next year. Representatives of both companies promised to systematically release expansions for Myth of Empires (via wccftech).
