Apparently New Star Wars RTS is More Than a Pipedream
A well-known journalist shared a rather interesting news. He claims a new RTS game from the Star Wars universe is just around the corner.
Andy Robinson, a former employee of Playtonic Games and now editor atvideogameschronicle, shared a rather interesting yet enigmatic piece of information on Twitter. In a thread dedicated to Star Wars games, he suggested that a new RTS from the iconic brand will be revealed soon.
The mysterious suggestion naturally aroused the interest of the community. Asked if the said game was perhaps the strategy game announced a year earlier and developed by Bit Reactor, Robinson replied:
"The one [game - ed. note] I'm thinking of has not yet been announced ;)"
Thus, the journalist suggests that the new project may constitute a separate entity, independent of the game developed by the former creators of XCOM.
It is worth recalling that the last "big" RTS game from the world of Star Wars, the iconic Empire At War, was released more than 16 years ago. For this reason, the latest space strategy rumor seems even more exciting.
One can only keep one's fingers crossed that the latest leaks turn out to be true, and that the long wait for the new Star Wars RTS will more than reward the fans.
