Players Have Found ARG in Buckshot Roulette, It Gets Interesting
Buckshot Roulette is hiding a mysterious ARG game. Currently, players are trying to solve the puzzle linked to it. From here you will learn what exactly was discovered.
Buckshot Roulette is popular tabletop horror which originally appeared on itch.io. You will face the sinister croupier in a modified version of Russian roulette. As it turns out the title hides a big mystery – an ARG game.
Buckshot Roulette ARG Explained
An alternate reality game (ARG) is a unique genre of games that takes place in the real world. The whole story is often told through various media such as films or websites. In addition, it’s filled with all sorts of often challenging puzzles. Exploring the whole story therefore frequently requires the cooperation of many people.
In Buckshot Roulette you can find a clue that leads to ARG game created by Rita Lebedeva (on official Discord server known as Rita Proud cat mom Radium). You can start it when you finish Standard Mode for the first time. You will gain access to CRT monitor made by Volta Electronics. On the screen you will see an email address – [email protected]. As it turns out, it is fully functional. People who send a message have received an answer. However, most of its content is what at first glance appears to be gibberish.
Poem
However, the players managed to figure out (you must scroll to the right) that it was a code. The key to solving it turned out to be Volta Electronics' official website. It features a phone number that is also functional. When we call it, we will receive an automated response, which included a code that allows us to read the email. It turned out to be a poem:
They won't ever forgive me or will i not forgive myself. I made a wish upon a falling star and it brought me nothing but misery.
The machine hungers
Fed by booming shots
And blood
And luck
It is fed constantly
It's chewing, metallic and vile
And still it brings more comfort
Then the dance of hell below
Due to the fact that poem has nine verses, associations with Dante's Inferno and nine circles of Hell immediately appeared. The developer have confirmed this theory to some extent. However, she has removed the comment. There are traces of this thanks to fans on Reddit and official Discord. Nonetheless, fans still have not been able to determine exactly what it could lead to.
Password and Volta Aricson
The second major piece of the puzzle is the mysterious login panel. It can be reached via the star icon located next to the phone's graphic on the official Volta Electronics website. At this point it has not been possible to determine what the correct code is. So, it is unknown what the site leads to.
On the official website, we can also find another mystery. There is a blue oval with the words Koni Arikson at the very bottom of the page. However, in the shadow of this inscription, there is a second one – Volta Aricson.
So, at this point there are still many unknowns. Players are constantly looking for clues that could lead to a solution. One such group is active on the official Discord – CR Channel.
