The developers of the free-to-play PUBG: Battlegrounds are scheduling a number of major changes and improvements to the production for 2024. The popular online shooter will, among other things, switch to Unreal Engine 5.
For fans of PUBG: Battlegrounds, 2024 looks pretty promising. The KRAFTON studio responsible for the game shared today its very detailed plans for the coming months. Players can expect significant changes in gameplay, graphics, and the ranked mode, in addition to new skins and items.
Free PUBG will undergo several important, even groundbreaking changes, which are primarily intended to enhance immersion.
Players will definitely experience the mentioned changes during matches, but another important element will also impact the experience. PUBG will switch to Unreal Engine 5 (so far the game used Unreal Engine 4), leading to various improvements, including better graphics. Thanks to this groundbreaking decision, the developers will be able to offer a service called "User Generated Content," enabling fans to create their own content. So we'll probably get something like Fortnite's Creative Mode.
Developers also want to satisfy "hardcore" fans.
