Xenonauts 2 – PS4, PS5, Xbox and Switch release
Starting today, i.e. the 18th of July, gamers around the world can play the latest installment of Xenonauts 2, a well-received strategy that strongly resembles the X-COM series. Unfortunately, not all fans will be happy, as the game has only been released on PC in Early Access format, more specifically on platforms such as Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.
Goldhawk Interactive, the developer of Xenonauts 2, never mentioned on its Kickstarter campaign that the title would be coming to any of the latest generation consoles. What's more, the previous installment, despite being received quite well among players, also has never appeared on PS4 or Xbox. In addition, console versions of games rarely come out during Early Access phase - they can usually only be purchased when there is an official release.
In summary, at this point, there is no information confirming that Xenonauts 2 is going to be brought anywhere else than on PC. It is possible that this situation will change once the title comes out of EA and becomes a full-fledged game. Sadly, currently, the only option to play Xenonauts 2 is to purchase it on PC.
