Xenonauts 2 is turn-based strategy game with base management and combat missions. Players have the opportunity to hit an alternate reality, where aliens are the biggest threat. Your task will be to command an international military organization that must eliminate extraterrestrial opponents. The game will be available to players in early access in a few days. Nevertheless, people already wonder if this title will allow playing with others. In our guide, we will talk about coop and multiplayer modes.
Multiplayer in Xenonauts 2
Currently Xenonauts 2, like the previous part of the series, focuses on a single-player mode. Players, however, hope that multiplayer or coop will be added in the future, so they can face each other in tactical duels or work together to win against the alien race. Unfortunately, if you are one of these people, then we have sad news for you.
The developer's comment on the topic can be found on the Steam forum. Based on their statement, it appears that there are:
No multiplayer plans at the moment.
The post is quite old because it was written in January 2023, but there is still no news that the developers are working on adding multiplayer mode. Of course, there is always hope that the game may include coop options in the further future. At this point, however, the title is designed only for single-player experience. You have to look for alternatives, if you really want to play with friends.
