NieR Automata: Cut-scenes - can you skip?
This guide page for NieR Automata answers a simple question - can you skip cut-scenes. This can be helpful if you are going through the same part of the game again.
Note - We do not recommend skipping cut-scenes, because the vast majority of them have interesting content and can reveal further details about the plot. You may miss an important conversation or event.

NieR Automata has the option to skip cut-scenes. During a cut-scene, press the pause button and then confirm that you want to skip the cut-scene by pressing the X.

Additional note - The game treats some unfinished actions performed by the controlled character as if they were cut-scenes. For example, if you stop the game while in the middle of a jump, the game may display a similar pause window to the cut-scene instead of the system window. Your character must complete the action - then you will be able to open the system menu.
