This page of the Oddworld Soulstorm guide contains descriptions of Badges from Level 11 - The Mines. These are different challenges for locating collectables, attacking enemies with Brewnade bottles, destroying items and opening lockers. Our guide will help you earn all the platinum badges in Mission 11.
Additional notes: if we do not pass the requirements of the challenge 100%, then we can still receive a badge of a lower rank, for example, a gold or a silver one. The game allows you to repeat the completed stages in order to obtain the missed badges.
Explorer
Platinum badge requirements: Find 4 Secret Areas.
Badge description: One of the challenges associated with secrets/collectibles. The game always informs about finding a secret area. We have included them in our walkthrough for mission 11 - they are marked in green.
Saviour
Platinum badge requirements: Save 47 Mudokons.
Badge description: this is a demanding badge, because in order to get the platinum, we need to find and save 100% of the Mudokons appearing in this mission. Mudokons can die while escorting them. It is also easy to lead to the death of Mudokons from the tower shown in the picture. You can find out how to rescue Mudokons from the tower safely on the Find a Way to Level 3 page.
Brewnade
Platinum badge requirements: 4 Sligs were hit with Brewnade bottles.
Badge description: the premise of this challenge is to use Brewnade bottles, which explode and set fire to the area.
The main difficulty is that we may have trouble getting all the ingredients we need to make Brewnade. The most problematic component are Anti-viral Wipes. In addition to the standard exploration, we try to search the bodies of Sligs and open every padlocked lockers that may contain the rarer loot.
Hidden Help
Platinum badge requirements: Find 12 Royal Jelly secrets.
Badge description: One of the challenges associated with secrets/collectibles. Royal Jelly is a levitating object that you can collect to lengthen Abe's health bar. We have included them in the walkthrough of Level 11 - they are marked in green.
Wrecker
Platinum badge requirements: Destroy 47 objects
Badge description: crates the objects we're supposed to destroy; in this particular mission, these are both "standard" and explosive crates. The latter can be destroyed automatically while making progress in the game, although we will be able to destroy some of them ourselves, for example, using a possessed Slig or the flamethrower obtained at the end of the level.
Searcher
Platinum badge requirements: Search 34 lockers.
Badge description: obtaining a platinum badge during the first playthrough may be impossible since a large part of the lockers found in the mines have padlocks of various types. This means that we must have the right keys. It's recommended to deal with this challenge while repeating the mission, i.e. when we have more keys.
