Commentary: It's best to wait until you get a shotgun before you try to get this achievement. Once the weapon is yours, you can use it to kill the two monsters in the basement of the main house (remember that they have to get really close to Ethan).

Another opportunity to unlock this achievement will present itself once you reach the old house. When you explore it, you will be attacked by, among others, overgrown flying insects. You can use the shotgun to kill two monsters of this kind (an example of an area where you can get this achievement is shown on the image above), taking advantage of the fact that they are very weak and can be easily killed.
