You start in the southwestern part of the map. You are in the void's energy's area of influence, it will gradually weaken your units. Luckily, all forces available at the start of the mission are mechanic, so thanks to the reconstruction beam active ability they will be constantly healed. The only thing you cannot regenerate is shields. At least you can't do it for now.

Go forward. You will participate in a short battle with single enemy units and you will have few buildings to destroy. Destroy the construction [1] marked by the game. You can lose few units during the operation, but don't worry, you will replenish them soon.

After destroying the building and watching a cutscene the map will change - Mission 1 - Into the Void - Epilogue - Into the Void - StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void - Game Guide and Walkthrough

After destroying the building and watching a cutscene the map will change. From now you will control your own base [2]. East from you there are terran [3] and zerg [4] positions. You and your allies are supposed to defeat Narud [5]. The mission's construction is very similar to Brothers in Arms. Together with allies you will be gradually cleaning the map of enemy forces and you will build advanced outposts until you will reach the other end of the map where your target can be found. Luckily, this time your allies won't be immobilized by the keystone. Instead of that, a void thrasher [5] will appear on the map every few minutes. It will march on your or your enemies' base. You and your allies must kill him before he will reach the destination. The game will inform you about when the thrasher will appear, in which direction it will go and where he currently is, so you will always have time to prepare for his coming.

The map is divided into three paths. Kerrigan will attack the right one and Raynor the central one. Your objective will be to both clean the left one and support allied forces. If their bases are destroyed, you will lose the mission.

You will face various-sized Narud's forces while cleaning the map. They will consist of units of all races. However, the constructions marked as void corruption will be much more important. Destroying them will clean the territory of the aura that hurts your units and buildings. The aura isn't too destructive, but similarly as at the beginning of the mission, its presence will make it impossible for you to regenerate the shields of your units. On the map you will also find many resource containers, they should help you in completing the mission.

Your base will be regularly attacked, but you don't need to sacrifice many assets to defend it. The mission is constructed in such way that as you progress the enemies will be more away from your base and they will lose the possibility to attack it. Due to that, don't build turrets, focus only on creating and upgrading units. Except for the void thrashers which you will kill far from the base anyway, the defensive buildings won't be useful for you.

During the mission you will receive information about four places in which the allies can build additional bases - Mission 1 - Into the Void - Epilogue - Into the Void - StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void - Game Guide and Walkthrough

During the mission you will receive information about four places in which the allies can build additional bases. Terran can build it on the west [6][7] and zerg on the east of the map [8][9]. In all these places you will face slightly more enemy units and buildings than usually and after destroying them allied units and buildings will take their place. In difference to the outposts build in the cleaned areas of the map, these four bases will be producing new units, thus making completing the mission easier.

At the start of the mission your allies will have trouble with repelling enemy attacks - Mission 1 - Into the Void - Epilogue - Into the Void - StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void - Game Guide and Walkthrough

At the start of the mission your allies will have trouble with repelling enemy attacks. Especially the thrasher who will appear just after the second part of the mission starts. You must help them by destroying the void corruptions and nearby buildings. Allies will place their own fortifications in such places. Not in all of them, usually in every second one, but often enough to secure further parts of the map. The strength of the fortification will be varied, but high enough to repel most of the regular enemy attacks. Only thrashers can pose a serious threat.

In order to defeat Narud, it will be best to clean the whole map, including the buildings in points [10] and [11] - Mission 1 - Into the Void - Epilogue - Into the Void - StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void - Game Guide and Walkthrough

In order to defeat Narud, it will be best to clean the whole map, including the buildings in points [10] and [11]. Thanks to that your allies will be able to focus only on defeating the large enemy. Before attacking, gather as large army as the supplies will allow you to. In case of trouble with resources, you can build up to two additional bases in points [12] and [13]. Wait until your ally will start attacking Narud's position and then send your own forces. First get rid of enemy units and buildings, then focus on the large enemy. Don't forget about getting rid of void corruption first, so that your units will be not receiving damage. Killing Narud will prove to be time consuming, as he has many hit points. He will be attacking your units, but only few of them at once, so you can solve that problem with large enough army. Your allies will be there as well and they can get attention of Narud or deal damage to him. The battle will prove to be short and pretty easy if you will hit the enemy with your whole army.

After killing Narud the mission will be completed successfully. You don't need to clear the whole map to do it, but every destroyed enemy building and a new allied base will make doing it much easier. If you prefer, you can aid your allies only at the beginning of the mission and then focus only on getting to Narud and killing him. This will make the mission much harder, but the game will still consider it as completed once you kill the main target.
