Use the second jammer to block off the second gate

First of all, take the jammer out to the front of the first gate and disable it. Aim the second jammer at the second gate up ahead. Now, collect the first jammer which closes the first gate and makes it possible to cross to the other side. Make sure that the jammer does not block off the beam.

Set the first jammer above the plots

At the other side, you can set the jammer and direct it towards the first gate, and the jammer that has already been there opens the second one. Collect the puzzle piece.
