First of all, connect both connectors with sources and buttons according to their colors, but also in a straight line. Take the second connector and cross the opened gate.
After you have crossed, connect the button and the connectors at the opposite side. The beam from this connector should halt the red beam in a straight line and connecting to the other connectors should provide the blue beam.
