The Medium: Thomas' office - walkthrough

On this page of our The Medium guide, you will find a description of Thomas' office, the fifth stage of the game. Here we have described all the interactions you need to perform to reach the secret passage. Your main goal is to open the passage to the next part of the room. However, you can perform some minor interactions that will help you understand the plot and increase the immersion.

Find the key

You meet Sadness right before entering Thomas' office. However, the girl will disappear when you open the door because she decides that she should not go in there.

Go to Thomas' desk right away. You will find some story-related items on it.

Look at the floor to catch a glimpse of a broken drawer. You can find two valuable items there - a flashlight and a key.

You can clip the flashlight on so that it lights your way all the time. This item is very useful when exploring dark rooms.

A key lies right beneath the flashlight. It is essential for continuing the story.

Take the key and approach the clock. Open it so that you can move its arms freely. This is very important.

Start by turning the clock slowly. You'll see the first memory when you get to 9:20. Immediately move away from the object and see what the vision is about.

Go back to the clock. This time, set it to 8:45. Go to the desk again and examine the vision.

When you go over the 7 on the clock, you will see a secret passage. Don't drop everything and run up to it though, it's worth completing a few more steps.

Around 7:10 you may see another vision.

Let's go further with this, move the clock's arms to 4:00. You will be able to absorb energy – this will be useful later in the game.

After absorbing the energy, go to the clock and set it back to around 5:00. This will open the passage. Use your spirit form and get to the other side.
