On this page of the Tunic guide, we will focus on The Ruined Atoll . You will learn its key features, the most important places, connections with other locations and microlocations, enemies living there, as well as a map of the entire area.
The Ruined Atoll (map above) is a complex of interconnected islets scattered on a square area. To understand what this location is really about, imagine that every corner of this square must be visited by you, because there is an obelisk (cuboid) next to each of them. You have to interact with each of them (more about it on the page: Hidden interactions and mechanics ), and then you will unlock a passage to a microlocation called The Great Library , in which there is one of the keys needed to complete the game. The entrance to it is in the center of the location, it has been marked with a white circle on the map and it is a shrine. After activating all the obelisks you have to interact with it to proceed further.
In The Ruined Atoll you will find one more important place, The Frog's Domain , the map of which is presented above. In this microlocation you will find a very important Magic Orb that allows you to attach certain elements of the environment and pull / attract enemies. If you do not know how to find it, please visit the page: Magic Orb - how to find it? . Besides, remember that you will find your way back to the Overworld using the northern exit located in The Ruined Atoll.
The Ruined Atoll can boast a whole range of enemies. The vicinity of the Frog Cave is inhabited by the title amphibians wielding daggers and spears, the beaches are occupied by small and large crabs, as well as Slorms, and the Hushers. The latter are located at strategic points. There is also a boss in this location, The Librarian , which blocks access to the key. However, you will find him in the Great Library, a microlocation belonging to the Ruined Atoll.
