Astroneer: What happens when I die?

Astroneer doesn't feature any combat, but this doesn't mean that you can't die. On the contrary - the planets are full of dangers. Exploding plants, hurricanes or falling from heights - these are only three examples of a quick death. What happens with your items when your character dies? Read this page to find out.

What happens when I die?

You can find your lost items in the spot where you died.

Regardless of how you have died, your character will lose all their items. However, you don't lose them for good - these items will stay in the spot where you died. The character respawns in the base. If you want to get them, go back to the place where you died. Your items will be inside a backpack.
