Increasing the quality of weapons and armor pieces in Biomutant is one way to improve your character's stats. The upgrading process can be done at the workbench and it requires a certain amount of raw materials.
How to find a workbench?
Workbenches are suspended from large balloons and float above the ground. Workbenches in Biomutant can be found in various places on the map. However, they are most commonly found in villages or outposts.
How to increase a weapon's rarity?
To upgrade weapons, you will need a Weapon Workbench. By spending the right amount of raw materials, you will be able to increase the quality of weapons and upgrade the material.
How to increase armor's rarity?

Armor parts with extra addon slots are more expensive to upgrade but they give a better effect.
