Street Fighter 3 Third Strike M.U.G.E.N is a free fan game by Gui Santos and DeathCold.
Description (in author’s words):
Here is the another mugen Street Fighter fan made game, and it is third game in the series, but remade on mugen, since it was never officially released on PC by Capcom. Original version of this game for mugen was made by Gui Santos, and before him someone also made some SF3 on mugen, but i can't find who that was. And here i'am, fixing Gui's work. I did a lots of changes, making this Street Fighter 3 on mugen to work and feel better. But what's the changes that i did? Let's see the list:
- Replaced all SF3 characters to a better versions of them.
- Replaced Q's stage to a better one that doesn't suck.
- Removed all unnecessary characters that was not in original game, like Dan, Gouken or Sagat.
- Fixed character big portraits on the select screen by making them smaller. So now, they fit on the select screen.
- Fixed "Stage Select" that originally was broken, and was moved behind the screen. Now, it is a classic mugen "Stage Select".
- Fixed position of character's names on the select screen. So now they fit properly, and does not cover character's icons or portraits.
- Fixed the difficulty. Now it is fair, all tho some characters could give you trouble.
But, like it always happens with mugen games, this game is still not perfect to original game. Like, there is win screen are missing, where your character will say something to his defeated opponent, or bonus level are not there. And also, some characters difficulty are not bind to game's UI, and thus most of them are easy to beat, and few will give you a trouble, like i said above.
Other than that, this is a cool game that you can play, beat the game and watch a ending cutscene of your favorite SF3 character. This game also uses, i believe a SF3 Online soundtrack, that is different from standart SF3 Third Strike. So yeah, have fun playing this game!
