Make It To Morning: 1-9

The Story:

Episode 1

Your car has broken down in the middle of nowhere in a storm. You walk to the nearest house to find that all is not well. It is getting dark - can you make it to morning?

Episode 2

You trace the infection to Castle Kalt. Purge this holy place of Evil and find out where the beasts are coming from.

Episode 3

Find a way into Monster Mountain.

Episode 4

Bombs have been pre-planted in the tower. Arm them and make it to the helicopter rendezvous.

Make It To Morning 5: Alcatraz

Gameplay:

You arrive at Alcatraz Island by boat with the shotgun and grabber.

Collect additional weapons and kill all the demons infesting the prison.

Beware: when it gets dark, all hell breaks loose.

You can exit at any time but your score is based upon the length of time you stay and the number of demons you face plus a bonus for making it to morning and a skill level multiplier.

Performance tips:

If you find the map sluggish, try leaving some lights off. I usually play with the lighthouse and recroom lights off.

Breakables cause frame rate drops. If you are really struggling for fps, trash the place before nightfall.

Gameplay tips:

Most Doom 3 monsters fire straight at you - learn to dodge by side-stepping or ducking.

Learn the best weapon for the situation e.g. shotgun is good short range, bad long range; rockets are good medium range vs walkers, bad vs fliers etc etc.

Avoid reloading in the middle of a fight - instead, change to another gun. When there is a lull, reload all your weapons.

Be ruthless and efficient - kill demons promptly and you will never have too many to handle.

Use the BFG! That's what its there for!

Make It To Morning 6: Maggot Wood

This map started as my particles test map. It strangely grew into ~4000 grid units square with 360 trees made from 1440 parts. I wrote a script to pop-up the trees when you get near.

This is not strictly a Make It To Morning map. There is no day/night cycle. Please excuse the artistic licence :-) Consider it a bonus level.

Gameplay:

Enter Maggot Wood if you dare. The deeper you go, the more dangerous it gets. Leave at any time but your score is based on number of monsters plus how deeply you penetrated the woods.

Make It To Morning 7: Ghetto

You drive into a run-down part of town. Explore and collect as many weapons as you can while it is light. When darkness falls, all hells breaks loose. Can you make it to morning?

Make It To Morning 8: Ghetto

Shoot cars for ammo, health and armour. Find weapons in the landfill. Move north to advance level. The higher the level, the more monsters come out at night.

Make It To Morning 9: Bonus map

This is a self-regenerating destructable test map. On the GUI, set popup to near, medium or far.

Give yourself some weapons by typing give all in the console and have fun blowing stuff up.

2. Extract this 'mitm1-9.pk4' file from your 'd3xp' folder
