Silent Hill type Horror Overhaul mod with many options

1. REQUIRMENTS!

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PLAY THIS MOD WITHOUT THE REQUIRMENTS! YOUR GAME WILL CRASH AND MAY CORRUPT SAVES!

This mod requires, with no exceptions the following mod:

With this mod you can enable a silent hill syle fog for extra gameplay effects.

2. DESCRIPTION

This mod attempts to make the game more of a survival horror with various options to suit the player's gameplay

needs, or just in case one feature of my mod conflicts with another game, for example one OPTIONAL esp

changes the lighting of interiors to darker, if this conflicts with another lighting mod it can be

disabled and wont affect the game.

This mod adds new area by making a nightmare version of them it is also not just a copy of interiors and towns, for those of you who know silent hill games this mod follows the same ideas, so areas that may be blocked off in the 'normal' world may not be in 'otherworld'. giving access to new places.

This mod does not cover and will not cover the whole map, just areas which would be good for the nightmare world.

FUTURE OF MOD

Im happy with what ive done on the mod, so I probably wont make any new areas, but will continue to fix bugs etc.

SO far I have done:

1. Hospital (on map already)

2. Searchlight Nightmare realm (Look in the church basement for a red light) (included in Hell on Earth - Nightmare Realm. esp)

3. Novac Nightmare Realm (Search near the bridge east of Novac for the Nightmare realm Entrance, look for a red light and sirens when your close) (included in Hell on Earth - Nightmare Realm. esp)

4. To get to the Nightmare Strip, head into freeside East Gate and enter the first building on the right, the portal is on the top floor.

3. BACKGROUND STORY (NOT LORE FRIENDLY)

In 2077, the government was experimenting with interdimentional travel. Hoping to travel to another

dimention in which they could use the resources there, they opened a gateway to a universe that mirrored our own

in which everything was the same........but different.

This 'Otherworld' or 'Nightmare world' was build the same as our world, the same countries, the same buildings....

but it was evil.....pure evil. Once opened creatures from nightmares began to pour through

In a last ditch attempt to reverse the effects, a spec ops team headed into the facility and closed the portal...

Or so they thought....instead our world began to merge with 'Otherworld' and random shifts between the two began

to occurr, people all over the world began to dissappear.....most likely shifting into 'Otherworld' and

being killed.

A strange thick fog fell upon the world, radio and communications failed and military bases and checkpoints

were lost contact with.

Soon entire countries fell under the strain of the creatures emerging and small groups of people banded together,

gathering weapons and food they tried to holdout, but people still dissappeared at random....

PRESENT DAY

The survivors had to adapt quickly to this new dangerous world, those that didnt were killed quickly. People

learn that some areas were more likely to shift into the nightmare realm than others.

From what they could tell, each 'gateway' (an invisible portal that shifts the worlds) was one way only.

A story passed down through the years tells of a lone warrior who was transported into the nightmare realm, he found

out that he could not return to 'Earth' Through the same point. He noted that in order to return to 'Earth'

the person in 'Otherworld' had to seek what appeared to be a merging point.

These points were obvious once found, they appeared as a area of light and simply walking into it returned the

person to 'Earth', unfortunantly they were rare and difficult to find.

According to this survivor's records it took three weeks for him to find just one of these portals.

Since then, a few other survivors have set out to explore this 'Otherworld', even fewer have returned.

In this 'otherworld' there is only darkness and death.......

4. INSTALLATION

1. Download and Install the Monster Mod here

If you do not, your game will crash.

2. Copy all the files for HELL ON EARTH to falloutnv/ data

3. Open the OPTIONAL FILES folder and copy and paste the files to falloutnv/ data

4. Launch Fallout Mod Manager for new vegas

5. CAREFULLY!!!!!!!!! Tick Monster MOD.ESM (Again failure to do so will result in fallout new vegas committing

suicide and leave you with a nice view of your desktop.

Then tick ONE OF THE FOLLOWING FILES!!!!!:

Hell on Earth - Basic. esp (adds only the silent hill hospital, already on map)

Hell on Earth - Basic + Creature Replacer. esp (adds hospital and replaces cretures with new skins)

Hell on Earth - Basic + Creature Total Overhaul. esp (adds hospital, new creature skins and replaces all creatures

with new creatures, includes some creatures the other 2 files do not, as the name says its a total overhaul!!!)

6. Now for extra effects, download nevada skies, although not require it can make the game almost like

a silent hill game enviroment with mass fog in the daylight.

Once downloaded, launch the game (with nevada skies on) Open inventory, select the item from nevada skies

go to general settings, select enable special moods, go back to the first screen, go to special moods,

select the third option, then select silent hell.

5. OPTIONAL FILES DESCRIPTION

Hell on earth - dark interiors

Makes SOME, but not all dungeons almost pitch black for that extra kick in the dark

(may conflict with any mod that alters interior lighting, thats why its optional!)

Hell on earth - legion armour replacer

Makes the legion a group of terrifying cultists from 'Otherworld', wearing the Pyramid head robes and

gas masks or boogyman hoods, it makes them a bit more interesting and makes them fit this mod

Hell on Earth - loot ammo reduced

Makes it harder to find ammo in loot, for that extra survival aspect

Hell on Earth - Nightmare Realm

Adds a mirror universe known as 'Otherworld', it resembles the normal world, but is dark....full of

'Otherworldy' creatures and many secrets and newly scripted traps and scares. It is large in size, there are various places to go into and out of

'Otherworld' its mostly set up so the player will suddenly enter the 'Otherworld' by surprise, and must fight their

way out. They will enter the world in the same spot as in our world, so if for example your in goodsprings

you will appear in goodspring in the nightmare realm (This is an example, there is no nightmare version of

goodsprings....)

You cant leave the way you entered, find another way out.

Entrances to this 'Otherworld' can be located by listening carefully, when you start to hear the sound of

a siren in the background this is an indication you are close to crossing over, then look for a red light nearbly

approaching it will send you to 'Otherworld'

Hell on Earth - Basic + Creature Total Overhaul. esp

It will not work with Hell on Earth - Basic, so do not try, it will mess the game up.

'Otherworld' is very dangerous, the only confirmed place where it is known to have a portal to 'Otherworld'

is somewhere in the searchlight church basement, enter at your own risk!!!!!
