Agony came out in May, last year.

AGONY IN A NUTSHELL:

  1. Developer: Madmind Studio
  2. Publisher: PlayWay
  3. Genre: survival horror
  4. Platforms: PC, XONE, PS4
  5. Release date: May 29, 2018 r.

Agony was one of the biggest disappointments of the past year. However, it turns out that the game’s developers, i.e. the team at Polish studio Madmind, are doing quite well. According to a stock exchange announcement Agony and Agony Unrated moved more than 90 thousand copies on PC.

Agony is also available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Console versions have found more than 60 thousand buyers, but the actual sales result may be even higher, as the data from these hardware platforms comes in with a long delay.

Currently, Madmind Studio is in good financial condition and the company no longer has any debt. What's more, the current profits allow the authors to self-finance the production of two more projects and technical support for already released games.

The developers also emphasize the warm welcome of Agony Unrated, an extended and uncensored version of the game. On Steam, 76% of the game’s user ratings are positive.

Madmind Studio is currently working on two new titles. Succubus is an action game designed as a spin-off to Agony. The second game is Paranoid, a survival horror, in which we play a mentally ill man.
