OptiFine
OptiFine is one of the mods that is best downloaded early in your adventure. This modification makes Minecraft run smoother (up to 2x more frames per second) and look better at the same time – OptiFine also adds support for high-resolution textures. In addition, the mod opens access to many options – the game can be configured freely in options such as render distance, lighting, shadows, and anti-aliasing.
Changes can be seen in the quality of grass, snow and water. For example: the water is transparent and you can see what's under the surface. There are many more visual fixes. Staying with elements of nature, it is worth mentioning that many of them can be turned off or changed. It's possible to set the height of clouds, disable fog or stars, or disable the animation of fire or dripping water.
Although OptiFine allows for higher frame rates, setting everything to the max (anti-aliasing, shadow detail, draw range, dynamic lighting) requires a fairly powerful PC. If you don't have it yet, it's better to check out the Fabulously Optimized mode (1.19.4), which will significantly improve the smooth operation of the game on old hardware.
