15 Games That NEED to Become Movies
Hollywood often takes advantage of the most popular gaming brands. This happened in the case of Super Mario, Tomb Raider or, more recently, Uncharted. But there are still many more titles with huge potential waiting to become movies.
Chrono Trigger

- Game genre: RPG
- Movie/TV series genre: feature-length anime
- Potential creators: Akira Toriyama, Toei
- Is a movie actually being made? It was, but…
- How long it's been waiting: 28 years
Chrono Trigger, even after so many years from the premiere, still has legs thanks to great script, numerous anime cutscenes and expressive characters. At first glance, you can see the hand of Akira Toriyama, the author of Dragon Ball , who supervised the entire project. His adventure with games turned out to be extremely successful, it's a pity that he participated in the creation of the sequel, Chrono Cross, to a very small extent.
Although the adaptation of Chrono Trigger was created, it was never released to public. It was only shown at conventions. And it's just 10 minutes long and it's not related to time travels or the most important threads of Chrono Trigger...
After so many years, the old RPG could use not only a spectacular finale of the trilogy, but also a full-length anime. And if that's ever the case, Akira Toriyama is the only person who should be entrusted with it, supported by Toei studio, known for Dragon Ball Super, among others.
