The bloody vision of American McGee is one of the best variations on the adventures of the adult Alice Liddell, known from Lewis Carroll's novels and Disney's full-length animation. Tormented by nightmares in dreams and beyond, the girl must return to Wonderland to organize a bloody slaughterhouse for all creations of her own imagination that try to kidnap, maim or kill her.
In 2022, the idea to film both games was revived (2000's American McGee's Alice and 2011's Alice: Madness Returns). It is not yet known whether the production will be a film or a TV show, but it was commissioned by one of the streaming giants. David Hayter (known for writing the plot for Watchmen from 2009 and X-Men from 2000) is responsible for writing and production.
And although I dreamed of a screen adaptation by Tim Burton, there's not much to complain about. If Hayter's production actually appears on Netflix, Amazon, HBO or Hulu, it will be a huge success of the entire game and a chance for the third part of the McGees series to be created sooner.
