Games You Have Probably Missed in the First Half of 2020

Is it really worth to kill time in free-to-play GTA 5 during the period of cancelled game showcases and delayed release of Cyberpunk? Definitely not! Many unique and interesting titles have been already released this year but you may have missed them.

Table of Contents

Deep Rock Galactic

  1. Genre: co-op first-person shooting
  2. Developer: Ghost Ship Games
  3. Platforms: PC, Xbox One

Deep Rock Galactic is not a 2020 discovery because the Early Access version of the game has been around for two years. Now it's out in the finished version, so there are not too many excuses not to try it out, especially given the overwhelming number of positive reviews. It's simple in style and rules, but an incredibly neat and spectacular first-person shooter similar to Left 4 Dead - that is, it's mostly about co-operation. Still, you can have fun playing solo. Because the gameplay in Deep Rock Galactic is just intuitive and addictive – even with random players (and you can also play solo)!

Players become powerful dwarves, who – armed with heavy guns - travel through procedurally generated levels on alien planets, where they have to bite into rocks and extract various minerals. Along the way, they have to fight bugs and use their unique abilities to overcome environmental obstacles. Shooting doesn't quite match the platform, logic, and co-op elements, but the whole experience is great anyway. Deep Rock Galactic is certainly one of the most interesting releases this year.

  1. More about Deep Rock Galactic

You're going to like Deep Rock Galactic if:

  1. you play for the sheer fun of playing, not for prizes, skins and other challenges;
  2. you like to play in the co-op and feel mutual support in the team;
  3. you're a fan of the combination of Starship Troopers, Left 4 Dead, Minecraft and The Hobbit.
