Action games. Wide category of games that require reflex, accuracy and agility. It includes, among other things, shooters (e.g. Call of Duty and Battlefield series) and action-adventure games (Tomb Raider). First and third person perspective (FPP/TPP) is used. In most cases we are playing as a character who has to defeat some enemies and reach a specific point. We can use a wide range of weapons, including pistols, rocket launchers, swords, knives and like. Action-adventure is a particular category within action games genre. Such titles put less emphasis on action and combat, focusing more on story, exploration and puzzles.

The player plays the role of a member of the title, elite police unit and carries out missions related to the fight against crime and drug trafficking. The gameplay combines elements of FPP and TPP, allowing a lot of freedom of action in the game world.

However, the creators did not strengthen historical realism and introduced supernatural elements, thanks to which we fight against demons, vampires and zombies. The main protagonists – John Rimes and Rick Jones – are police operatives specializing in high-risk operations, such as rescuing hostages and infiltrating gang hideouts. As the enemies need only 2-3 shots to kill the main protagonist, the players have to exercise caution and react quickly.

An isometric shooter that takes place in a world plagued by a zombie apocalypse. The game was developed by a Japanese studio G-Style. The title enables the player to take control of survivors who are fighting the undead hordes. The encounters with the zombies are very emotional – the locations aren’t large and each corner is filled with animated corpses. In addition to that, the player can encounter stronger enemies that are able to kill him in a matter of moments.
