The player directs the actions of the hero who tries to free his beloved princess from the hands of the scoundrel and save the world, while collecting coins needed to "buy out" further elements of the game offered as a DLC.

The second installment of the popular flipper simulator, developed by the Hungarian studio ASK Homework, also known for Pure Pinball. The game takes place according to modern standards on fully three-dimensional tables, filled with a whole bunch of mechanical bouncers, ramps and arcade mini-games. Players have eight different tables at their disposal, set in the style of the Wild West, mafia wars, car racing, ancient Rome and Egypt, aerial combat, and fantasy and science fiction.

The titular Energy Hook is a mechanical device that looks like a glove and fires a beam of energy that sticks to the hit object like a rope. Initially used on construction sites, the device soon began to be used by the youth in crazy competitions of flying between skyscrapers. Participants would get points for speed, style, and acrobatics.

The backgrounds and characters have been hand-drawn by experienced specialist artist. The game also features a gospel choir soundtrack. In Harold you play as a guardian angel called Gabe. His main task is to protect the clumsy, bespectacled Harold during a series of races on a tracks full of obstacles.
