Simulation games. These titles put emphasis on simulating authentic (or fictional) actions in the most realistic manner possible. They allow the player e.g. to control civil (digger, crane, bus) or military vehicles (plane, tank, warship). Life simulation games (especially The Sims series) are very specific example of titles in this category, because they can simulate almost infinite number of aspects of human lives.

The Babylon Project

A simulator set in a science fiction world. The game tries to transfer the world of a popular TV series called Babylon 5 into a game called Freespace 2. Initially, the game functioned as a modification for that game, however, over time it became a full – although free – game. Similarly to the original, The Babylon Project is an arcade space simulator. However, the difference here is that names of all ships, proper names and plots of all scenarios refer to the aforementioned TV series.

Developers from Massive Development studio have prepared more than 50 diversified missions to perform on the area of more than 8 thousand square kilometres of ocean floor.

The player takes on the role of commander of one of the American submarines operating in the Pacific during World War II.
