Simulation games. These titles put emphasis on simulating authentic (or fictional) actions in the most realistic manner possible. They allow the player e.g. to control civil (digger, crane, bus) or military vehicles (plane, tank, warship). Life simulation games (especially The Sims series) are very specific example of titles in this category, because they can simulate almost infinite number of aspects of human lives.

An open world submarine simulator created in Poland by Deep Water Studio. The game takes place during World War II and the player assumes the role of a captain of a German submarine who completes various missions inspired by historical events. Mechanics of UBOOT combine the features of Silent Hunter and Fallout Shelter and the main task of the player is to take care of the crew. One must consider physical and emotional limitations of his subordinates, assign functions to them etc.

The player takes on the role of a young entrepreneur who is the head of a transport company. A sandbox space simulator developed by Egosoft. It is the fourth full-fledged installment of the popular series X. Similarly to its predecessors, X4: Foundations focuses mostly on giving the players a freedom in how they want to play. At the beginning the player takes control of a cheap space ship with weak specifications. He is being thrown into the middle of an open galaxy.

The player takes on the role of commander of the Star Wolves ship formation, wandering through a dangerous galaxy. The creators of the game prepared a large world (territory of the United States) and a lot of attractions. While playing, we have to watch out for police patrols and master complex routes. Haulin' is also a realistic driving model and steering wheel support.
Gold Rush: The Game

A simulator of a gold seeker. Developed by the Polish studio Code Horizon, the game gives the player an opportunity to travel to the cold regions of Alaska in order to excavate lodes of shining gold. The player supplies their equipment with fuel and electricity, carries loads of soil using an excavator or a loader, cleans the material with a sifter and other devices, and ultimately picks lumps of gold with tweezers.
RailWorks 3: Train Simulator 2012

Another entry in the complex simulation game series, in which players take on the role of a train driver. Once again, the game was developed by Dovetail Games studio, who has also given us a tutorial that introduces us to basics of gameplay. There is also a career mode, in which we must complete dozens of varied missions. Quite obviously, we drive many different trains: from modern inventions to machines from the age of steam.
