A Good Snowman Is Hard To Build is an unusual logic game developed by the indie studio Draknek. As the title suggests, we will be building snowmen. We play as a monster that rolls balls of snow and sets them in the right order. Each snowman is made of three snowballs. The biggest one forms its base, the medium one works as its torso, and the smallest one is its head. Our task is not as easy as it may seem.

Mechanics

Despite its simple premise, A Good Snowman Is Hard To Build for PC, AND and iOS can be rather gripping. Gameplay focuses on creating snowballs and setting them in the right order. Each snowman is made of three snowballs: the biggest one works as the base, the medium one is the snowman’s torso, and the smallest one is its head. Levels are rather small and very often filled with obstacles so we do not have that much of space to maneuver. We have to move our snowballs in a way that will allow us to gather as much snow as possible and place them in the correct order. What is interesting is the fact that we won’t have to always build our snowmen from scratch. Sometimes our snowy character is half-made but, for example, its head is in the wrong place so we will have to create a new ball of snow and fix the situation. From time to time we will also have to build two snowmen at the same time.
