In May 1897 Sherlock Holmes accompanied by Dr. Watson comes to party organized at Sherringford Hall of Sir Melvyn Bromsby, construction tycoon. All guests were invited to welcome his daughter, Lavinia who has just returned to England. In fact Sherlock Holmes was more attracted by famous singer Gallia who was supposed to perform during this reception.

One have heard a rumors that during opening address the host is to pronounce something very important concerning future of his business. 11 P.M. People crowd near bar. Sir Bromsby appears accompanied by his right hand, Hermann Grimble take his place on the stage. He barely started welcoming his guests, suddenly Sir Melvyn Bromsby falls on the floor, red spot is visible on his tuxedo right on his heart… Guest panic, Lavinia Bromsby run towards her dying father…Holmes decides to act quickly, not waiting for the police to come.

A series of detective adventure games, started and developed by the Ukrainian studio Frogwares. Over the years, we got many Sherlock Holmes developed by various companies. In 2006, Frogwares studio established a long-term partnership with Focus Home Interactive (later renamed Focus Entertainment), which lasted until 2014, when the studio switched the publisher to Bigben Interactive (later renamed Nacon). As both co-operations eventually ended in trouble, the Ukrainian developers finally decided to release their games on their own.
