Anomaly: Korea is the second game, after Anomaly: Warzone Earth, in a science-fiction real-time strategy (RTS) series. As in the case of the original, the title was produced by the 11-bit studio.
Anomaly: Korea is set after the events known from Anomaly: Warzone Earth. The final battle in Tokyo forced aliens to retreat. Unfortunately, the joy of victory did not last long. The aliens launched another massive attack on Earth and their target was the Korean Peninsula. We play as a commander of military forces and our task is to destroy enemy machines and fortifications.
The mechanics of the game is a carbon copy of the solutions used in Anomaly: Warzone Earth. The game is based on the "reversed" principles of popular tower defense strategies (hence the term "tower offense" pushed by the creators). The player's task is to break through the enemy's defense lines. This requires, first of all, planning an appropriate attack route, production of units allowing to neutralize defensive formations, construction of necessary buildings, as well as ongoing response to events taking place on the map.
Besides a new map, Anomaly: Korea also offers additional types of units. The player has at their disposal, among others, Horangi tank, which has missiles of high destructive power. The aliens also received new units, e.g. turrets with flame throwers.
The standard difficulty level of the game is not too high - the exception is the last mission, which can be a big challenge even for experienced strategists. Hardcore players can try their hand at playing Art Of War mode, consisting of several extremely difficult tasks.
