Arcade Islands: Volume One for PS4 and XONE is an unusual bundle of 32 arcade games connected by metamchanics, which allow you to explore a fantasy archipelago and gather treasures. The production was developed by Mastiff, known for e.g. Pool Elite and Heavy Fire: Red Shadow.
Mechanics
Arcade Islands: Volume One is an unusual production, in which you discover islands of a colorful fantasy archipelago. Each island features different arcade challenges. Completing those and earning points allows you to gather treasures and unlock other games. There are 32 games with varied gameplay mechanics—some involve running and jumping, others involve shooting, and others still test your mind and memory.
Game mode
Arcade Islands: Volume One allows you to play on your own or with other players in the local multiplayer mode. You can either cooperate with others or play against them.
Technical aspects
The production features pleasant and very colorful visuals, mostly in 2D. The amusing style sometimes resembles illustrations for stories for children.
