Ubisoft's yet-to-be-announced remake of the fourth main installment in the Assassin's Creed series. Rumors about Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced being in development have been circulating since 2023.
In 2013, the fourth main installment of the bestselling action-adventure game series dedicated to the centuries-long war between Assassins and Templars was released. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, as it was called, gained the appreciation of fans mainly due to its sailing system and naval battles.
Starting in 2023, unofficial reports began to surface suggesting that Ubisoft was preparing a comprehensive remake of this title, adapting it to a new gameplay scheme closer to open-world action RPGs. In December 2025, PEGI (the organization that assigns age ratings to video games in Europe) revealed its title – Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced.

A series produced and published by the Ubisoft corporation, which was born as an open-world action game, but years later made a turn towards the action RPG genre. Tom Henderson is confident that Ubisoft has confirmed when Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag remake will debut.
