Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Expansion Pack

The third large expansion for the open world action game Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora from Ubisoft. The story in From the Ashes expansion is tied to the Avatar: Fire and Ash movie created by James Cameron. This DLC introduces a new character, new quests and new locations for us to explore.
When Secrets of the Spires was released at the end of November 2024 – the second of two major expansions for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora announced before its release – it seemed that the development of this production was coming to an end. Therefore, the announcement of a third expansion less than a year later was met with some surprise. We are talking about From the Ashes described here. It is tied with the third part of James Cameron's film saga, on which Ubisoft Massive studio based its work, titled Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora - From the Ashes brings gameplay better suited for playing with third-person perspective (although you can still use the default FPP camera) which means better combat animations (e.g. takedowns), among other things.
The expansion also offers new, "darker and more personal" storyline. It is set a few weeks after the events of Avatar: Fire and Ash, and about six months after the finale of the main Frontiers of Pandora game and its earlier expansions.
The add-on allows us to take on the role of So'lek, a Na'vi warrior from the Trr'ong clan, burning with a thirst for revenge against the RDA and their allied members of the Ash clan, who attacked him and left him for dead. We explore a part of the Western Frontiers, including the devastated Kinglor Forest and a previously inaccessible area known as the Canyons. The protagonist not only seeks revenge on his oppressors but also tries to find the scattered members of his family.
The developers worked closely with the creators of the film series, so in addition to the Ash clan, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora - From the Ashes includes other elements known from the third installment of the cinematic series, primarily the Wind Traders, as well as a certain unique creature.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora - From the Ashes is not a standalone expansion pack, so it requires the base game Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora .

From the Ashes is not a huge change from Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, but it is a good one. The expansion makes things more intense and personal by focusing on just one character, adding strife between Na’vi, and changing the environment. It uses methods that are already known, but takes them into darker areas.
