Avernum PC

You have been wrongly sentenced and sent to the biggest prison in existence, located in the underground land of Avernum, a place made of huge number of caves and tunnels inhabited by various monsters and thousands of prisoners like you. It is your punishment for opposing a great, cruel Empire. You were supposed to never breathe fresh air again, see the sunrise or the sunset, nor to taste fresh water, but you did not accept that. It is not your destiny. Among the prisoners, you found many wishing to go back to the surface and to destroy the tyranny of the Empire. They only need leadership, a hero who will show them the way and command them to victory. Are you ready to become such a hero and be the first to come out of the underground?

This is how Avernum begins, an RPG that takes us to a fantasy world. We lead a party of four that sets out for a grand adventure, ultimate goal of which is to return to the surface and overthrow the tyranny of the Empire.
