As promised to players to support the Battle Academy in the long term, Slitherine studio developers regularly prepare further extensions. Battle Academy: Rommel in Normandy is the fifth in a series of add-ons inspired by authentic WWII military operations.

Enlargement introduces a new campaign, the action of which was set on the western front in 1944. The Allied landing in Normandy surprised the Germans. The order to defend the Fortress Europe is given in Berlin. The heavily depleted forces of the Wehrmacht, led by the famous Desert Fox, Field Marshal Erwin Rommel, have to face an opponent with a decisive numerical advantage.

In 10 campaign scenarios the player has the opportunity to test their tactical command skills in a number of historical battles, including the famous Battle of Falaise. At the same time, he has to cope with the supply difficulties and the collapsing morale of the soldiers. A number of carefully mapped units, including Jagdpanther tank destroyers and PaK 43 anti-tank guns, have been donated for use in the game.

In addition to the main campaign for single-player play, the Battle Academy: Rommel in Normandy also contains five new boards for battles with a live opponent via the Internet (according to the IGOUGO mechanics).
