Combat Mission: Battle for Normandy is a tactical battle game set in the World War II times, which focuses mainly on realism. Game was developed by Battlefront team, the authors of the whole series.

The action of the game covers a range of three months starting from the day of the landing of the Allies in Normandy in June 1944. The authors have ensured a realistically recreated theatre of warfare, replete with both field and urban terrain. The game includes two partially dynamic campaigns (one for each side of the conflict), as well as dozens of standalone missions. For more dedicated players, there is an extensive editor that allows you to create new maps, scenarios, and even entire campaigns. There's also a two-player multiplayer mode, and in addition to standard network play, there's also a PBEM (play by email) option and the ability to play multiplayer on one computer in "hot seat" mode.
