Trinket Studios is an independent American development team with the game Battle Chef Brigade in their portfolio. Their next venture is Battle Suit Aces described here - it is a production on the border between card games and RPGs, inspired by anime series about mechs.

Gameplay

The pillar of Battle Suit Aces are card battles played in turn-based mode. The cards we use are linked to specific characters and their individual abilities. This means that the key to success is assembling a team and composing a deck whose individual components complement each other.

Crew recruitment and deck development

We expand the range of cards by developing our characters and recruiting new crew members. We acquire the latter by building relationships with representatives of various factions that govern this part of the Universe. Among them, we find space pirates, paranormal detectives, and starball celebrities. A character's affiliation with a specific faction determines their fighting style and personality.

Building relationships

We spend time between missions on board the spaceship USS Zephyr. Here, we can get to know our comrades better, test card synergies in a special simulation chamber, upgrade our deck, create special drones, and modify the Zephyr to support the crew on the battlefield.
