A humorous racing game, maintained in a youthful, cartoon style. We take part in a crazy, purely arcade rivalry in several different sceneries, sitting in one of a wide range of vehicles driving, floating or flying.

Big Red Racing is a cartoon-style, humorous racing game in which we can lead to victory one of a wide range of vehicles driving, flying or swimming. The game developer is Big Red Software studio belonging to the Eidos Interactive concern, associated mainly with the Dizzy platform series created for Codemasters.

We start the game by creating our alter ego, choosing it from the available character gallery and modifying some elements of the appearance. We offer a wide range of vehicles, ranging from traditional cars (Mini, VW Beetle, Jeep), through 6-wheel ATVs and monster trucks, garbage trucks, snowmobiles, motorboats, helicopters and hovercraft. The vehicles are divided into eight groups, corresponding to different scenes and conditions in which we will have to compete.

The authors prepared a total of 24 routes, which were divided into six different cups with original names (Mushroom Cup, Flower Cup, Rainbow Cup). The tracks are located in several countries around the world, but during the fun we will also come to visit the Arctic and Mars, Venus and the Moon. Depending on the location, we race on urban asphalt, gravel roads, stones, snow, water and air. According to the concept of the game, we are, of course, dealing with a purely dexterity driving model, far from any realism.

The game's setting is cartoon-style and is enriched with a huge dose of humour. Both in the menu and during the races we are accompanied by humorous comments referring to the country in which the competition is currently taking place. One of the voice-producing actors is Jon St. John himself, known for his cult dubbing in Duke Nukem 3D. Big Red Racing allows for crazy competition with live opponents via modem, local network or on a split screen.
