bit Dungeon III

Mechanics

In bit Dungeon III, the action was shown from a bird's eye view. When traversing underground chambers and tunnels, which are generated procedurally, we are primarily concerned with fighting against enemy hordes. We are confronted by both common adversaries and powerful bosses. We eliminate them by using an extensive arsenal of melee, ranged and magical weapons; each weapon has its own special attack.

During dynamic clashes with opponents we should be on our guard because the devs have implemented permadeath mechanics - if we happen to die, we can be resurrected only on the condition that there is an additional soul on our disposals; otherwise, we will have nothing else to do but to start the adventure again. The latter is all the more punishing, as the hero progresses in time and becomes skilled in using the weapon (which increases the effectiveness of his attacks), as well as gains more and more powerful equipment, special upgrades and runes that increase his combat potential.

Game modes

bit Dungeon III can be played solo or in the company of other players. Online multiplayer mode enables for both co-op and PvP-based gameplay; by killing other daredevils, we can take possession of their items and souls.

Technical aspects

Like the previous installment of the series, bit Dungeon III features colorful, two-dimensional visuals made in pixel art technique. The old-school style is complemented by chiptune soundtrack.
