A third-person action thriller created by the Zero Hour devs. In Blackwood, we play as the titular character who runs a store during the day and turns into a killer under the cover of night. The gameplay is mostly about spectacular fights with enemies, featuring brutal finishers.
Attrito M7 Productions is a Bangladeshi development studio that was formed by the merger of Attrito and M7 Productions. In 2024, the team delivered the full version of its tactical shooter titled Zero Hour, and its next project is an action thriller game titled Blackwood.
In Blackwood we view the events from a third-person perspective (TPP). The game is set in New York in 2012, and we play the title character, Anton Blackwood.
During the day, the protagonist runs his small DVD store in Brooklyn. It provides him with an opportunity to earn money, meet new people, and introduce a certain amount of normalcy into his life. Visits to the store are also an opportunity for him to talk to a woman who sees his warmer side, which Blackwood tries to hide from the world.
After darkness falls, the hero turns into a killer, drawing inspiration from his favorite crime films. This is when the action elements begin to play the main role, and the gameplay is full of spectacular battles with opponents and chases on foot and in cars.
We can eliminate enemies using firearms or by fighting them in close combat. We perform rolls and dives on the battlefield and the game also implements a system of contextual finishers that allow us to defeat enemies in spectacular ways, using elements of the environment.
