Broomstick League is a simulator of fictional sport, clearly inspired by the Quidditch from the series of books and films about wizard Harry Potter - we play football while flying on a broomstick. The production offers several different game modes. The title was developed by an independent Virtual Basement studio (known from Outlaws of the West, Citadel: Forged in Fire and cooperation with Wildcard Studio at ARK: Survival Evolved). The role of the publisher was taken over by Blue Isle Publishing.

Mechanics

In the Broomstick League we observe the action from the first or third person perspective (FPP and TPP). The player controls a character flying on a broomstick (there is a possibility to adjust the appearance) and equipped with a magic wand. We play alone or in a team, and our primary task is to take over the ball and throw into the rivals goal zone.

Players can perform sky stunts (for example, quilting increases speed) and dodges, and also has access to several spells - one of them allows you to throw the ball from your opponent's hands, while the other allows you to teleport to another, not too distant place. This allows us to use a number of different tactics.

As the game progresses, we unlock new brooms, wands, gestures and dance moves, which we can present during the game. In the title you will also find additional network functionality - the results achieved by the players are listed on a special network table, which allows you to compare your results with other players.

Game modes

In the Broomstick League we can play alone or with others (friends or rivals connected by the matchmaking system). The title offers 1vs1, 2vs2, 3vs3 and 4vs4 modes.

Technical aspects

Broomstick League has a pretty nice three-dimensional graphic design. The most notable are the nicely designed locations - some of them are fantastic monsters, such as trolls and dragons. The lighting system also makes a good impression - the animations accompanying the games are colourful and spectacular.
