Celestial Empire PC

Celestial Empire is a city builder type economic strategy with survival elements, allowing us not only to create our own settlement from scratch, but also delve into the culture and mythology of ancient China. The team behind this game is the Polish President Studio, which has been operating since 2018. Their flagship project is the strategy simulator I Am Your President. The release of the game was supported by PlayWay, which is also responsible for publishing such games as Farmer's Life, Robin Hood: Sherwood Builders and the House Flipper series.

Plot

The game immerses the player in the realities of ancient China. The emperor has just appointed us governor of the new, rising city. In order to make our settlement a place worthy of a visit from the ruler himself, we must first take care of its prosperity and continuous development.

Mechanics

This game is a combination of real-time strategy and a city-building simulator, in which our main task is to develop the settlement under our control, ensuring a high level of satisfaction of its inhabitants. Survival elements were introduced in the form of weather disasters and harsh winters, making the game tougher to beat.

In Celestial Empire, the ability to plan and manage time well plays an important role. The gameplay, among other things, is based on creating production chains and acquiring natural resources, which will ensure maintaining the city and enabling the construction of specific buildings. The locations of individual production buildings are also important in order to provide residents with the best possible access to the products they offer.

Trade routes have also been introduced into the game, allowing trading with other friendly cities. Thanks to the caravans and the kindness of cooperative neighbors, our settlement can gain more resources and valuable materials needed for further expansion.

This game also includes the option of worshiping various Chinese gods. Building positive relationships with appropriate deities brings additional benefits to residents, and the blessings they send strengthens our city. Contact with supernatural forces also has its negative effects, as there are demons in the game that cause sadness and fear among the citizens.

Technical aspects

Celestial Empire has three-dimensional graphics with pleasant, vivid colors. The game takes place on hand-crafted maps.
