Clang is a joint venture of writer Neal Stephenson (author of The Baroque series) and the development team of Subutai Corporation studio. The creators decided to prepare an action game, which is as faithful as possible to simulate the fight with small arms.

Clang gameplay was designed primarily for two-player multiplayer duels. In the absence of a living rival, however, it is possible to fight against an opponent controlled by computer artificial intelligence.

Developers have made sure that the virtual feast is characterized by great realism. Fighting swords therefore takes into account the many types of attacks that can be carried out in certain positions of the swordsman's body, as well as a variety of faults, evasions, curtains and blocses. Individual types of white weapons are also characterized by specific properties, which we use in the battle.

Clang control uses the capabilities of today's Sixense-based motion controllers (e.g. Razer Hydra). However, for those who prefer the traditional character management system, there is a slightly simplified option of playing the game using a keyboard and a computer mouse.

Clang is characterized by a modest, yet aesthetically made visual setting. A lot of effort has been put into careful mapping of the swordsmen's movement. Animations of warriors fighting with white weapons were made with the use of motion capture technology.
