Half Sword is a fighting game in which we play as medieval knights and take part in bloody one-on-one duels using melee weapons. The game was developed by the independent Georgian studio Half Sword Games and represents its debut project.

Gameplay

Half Sword takes us to the 15th century. We can watch the action from the third person perspective (TPP) or first person perspective (FPP). We enter knightly duels and tournaments holding one of the types of melee weapons, such as swords, halberds or axes. Our character is wearing armor, which can protect (to a lesser or greater extent) their entire body or only its critical parts.

The combat system implemented in the game is based on physics and was developed in collaboration with experts and practitioners of fencing and other historical martial arts from Europe. Blood flows abundantly during duels, and severing limbs and decapitations are common. This makes every skirmish potentially the last one (both for us and for our opponent).
