Uprising is the first standalone expansion to the real-time strategy game, Red Alert 3. The developers decided to enrich the story known from the basic version of their game. The add-on focuses on the events following the ending of the third installment in the Red Alert series, presenting the later fate of the three superpowers. We may help the retreating Soviets, support the Empire of the Rising Sun in its attempts to regain honor and position, or face the corruption and dishonesty in the ranks of the victorious Allies.

The expansion offers three small campaigns, one for each of the abovementioned factions. The fourth set of missions presents the events from the past of one of the major characters of the Empire of the Rising Sun, commander Yuriko. Moreover, the developers prepared a special mode called challenge mode. It consists of 50 missions of different difficulty level based on unique rules in which we fight nine commanders. The add-on also offers a handful of new units and many other smaller elements.
