Complex Sky is a city builder, which stands out from other games of its kind thanks to the option of expanding the city upwards and downwards. It was developed by an indie, one-man company Complex Blue Studio.

Plot

Complex Sky takes us on a journey to a world whose surface is no longer suitable for living. Life moved to the skies, which are filled with self-sufficient, flying cities. We take on the role of a manager of one of such metropolises.

Game mechanics

In Complex Sky we observe the action in isometric view. Initially, we have to choose one of the companies which will supervise our project. Deciding to cooperate with the financial or industrial giant, a company focused on expanding the city or, among others, with environmental restoration enthusiasts, we have to keep in mind that each of them has its own set of features and strengths and weaknesses. Then there is nothing left to do but to start working, taking care of all the matters associated with the functioning of the city.

We construct new buildings (remembering to leave some space for roads), collect valuable resources, and also take care of the industry by creating extensive production chains. In addition, we must pay attention to the needs of the inhabitants of our flying city and fulfill their wants. If we do all this well, our creation will grow rapidly. Although the platform on which the metropolis is located has a limited area, nothing stands in the way of expanding the city vertically, creating new floors both above and below the existing buildings. Experienced planners can use these opportunities to develop clever, impressive structures.

Game modes

Complex Sky offers story-driven challenges and a sandbox mode where we don't have to look at any goals or limitations imposed from above. The title also allows us to adjust the difficulty level to individual preferences and skills.

Technical aspects

Complex Sky features colorful graphics made in low poly technique (its individual elements consist of a small number of polygons). We can listen here to the peaceful, relaxing music.
