Corsairs Legacy is a pirate-themed action RPG. It was developed by Mauris, inspired by various pirate-themed media, such as the "Treasure Island" novel, the "Black Sails" TV series and the Sea Dogs games. The game faithfully recreates history (such as the 17th century economy and ships) but has its own identity besides this, featuring many interesting, colorful characters.

Plot

The protagonist of Corsairs Legacy is Rufus Monroe, a smuggler specializing in transporting goods through naval patrols. His life takes an unexpected turn when during a simple raid on Trinidad and Tobago he ends up encountering a Spanish patrol ship. Soon, this turn of events leads to Monroe becoming a legendary pirate.
