An oldschool dungeon crawler, inspired by the Ultima series and H.P. Lovecraft's legacy. In Cyclopean: The Great Abyss we explore the land of the dreams along with the titular abyss. Our main character is randomly generated, participating in turn-based battles. We can also seek to avoid combat and forge alliances.

Cyclopean: The Great Abyss is an old-school RPG dungeon crawler, inspired by such productions as the Ultima series, Questron, or Legacy of the Ancients. The game was developed by the independent, one-person studio Schmidt Workshops from Chicago, specializing in projects maintained in retro style.

Story

Cyclopean: The Great Abyss is set in a world inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft, specifically - in the Great Abyss stretching beneath the surface of the Dreamlands. We play as an old dreamer, who gets trapped here and must do everything in his power to uncover the secrets of the underground and try to return to the World of the Awakened.
